Meet Our Minister  ~Jen Dresser~

Our minister, Jen Dresser, has served with St. Andrew’s for over ten years.  She is originally from Alberta and grew up on a farm near Drumheller. She met her spouse, Roland Legge, at a meeting of the Alberta and Northwest Conference.

As a Diaconal minister, Jen’s training focuses on education, social justice, and pastoral care and she brings these skills and passions to everything she does in ministry. A particular area of interest is in Christian education for all ages with a focus on how God calls us to live in the world – connecting faith, scripture, and action in our learning. The work of ministry is always challenging and Jen is constantly learning new things about herself, the community of faith, the world, and our collective faith as people of God.

Outside of ministry, Jen practices yoga, enjoys cooking, reading novels, playing phone games, singing with the community choir and hanging out with Roland. She has recently taken up lane swimming.

Jen has a diploma in Social Work from Red Deer College and a diploma from Olds College in Farm and Ranch Management (in another life, she contemplated continuing the family farm). She’s spent several years working with people with disabilities. Jen graduated from the Centre for Christian Studies in 2009 and completed her Bachelor of Theology from the University of Winnipeg in 2013. 

Previously, Jen Dresser served congregations in Manitoba and Ontario.
